HolaChef – Food Review
The monsoons have finally arrived and Mumbai city is rejoicing with joy. What a welcome change in the weather where everything is lush green, cool and breezy.
We at The Lifestyle Portal got a chance to get a taste a range of global and Indian home cooked food from Holachef. It was one of those weekends when it was pouring heavily in Mumbai and I ordered a meal for the family. What I liked best about Holachef is that it has a meal choice for every kind of person – vegetarian, non-vegetarian, light snacks, heavy snacks, deserts, drinks and soups.
To go with the mood on a Friday night, while our favourite movie Kung Fu Panda was being aired on the telly the family gathered around the table to dig into their choice of menu ordered from HolaChef.
So the weekend family dinner started with a Cajun Spiced Cottage Cheese (which we totally loved) that came with cajun sauce grilled vegetables and oven baked potatoes. For the carnivores, there was Blackened chicken breast with ratatouille another hot favourite.
And finally we signed off the meal with a delicious helping of Snicker Cup (a total yum moment) and Laccha Rasmalai (to die for).
The mains consisted of Chermoula baked fish basa with paprika potato wedges and halloumi sauce (my favourite), Chicken in Hot Garlic Sauce with Burnt Garlic Rice and Dry Chilli Chicken, Veg Yellow Thai Curry with Fragrant Pot Rice and Cottage Cheese in Barbecue Sauce (the folks loved it).
